With the heat creeping up on us here in the Midwest and a bag of lemons silently sitting in my fridge, I decided to squeeze up some simple, but super delicious lemonade for the kids!
Fat Food Addiction’s Organic Summer Lemonade
- 6 small organic lemons
- About 1 qt of water
- 1/2 cup of agave nectar
See? Super easy to make! Of course, depending on how tart you like your lemonade you can add less water and/or sweetener. We had just about a cup of pure lemon juice after squeezing the lemons and added water to the one quart line on our container after removing the seeds. The agave nectar dissolved really nicely into the juice and cut out quite a bit of the tartness, which was great because my kids probably wouldn’t have drank it otherwise.
The kids really liked it and since I made it at home I felt comfortable even letting my 18 month old try some! By the end of the day, it was all gone! You can probably substitute the lemons for any fruit and get a delicious juice that is perfect for the whole family!
